Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Cherokee County Released Inmates does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the submission.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share the message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Information Collected Automatically
Normal site operation may record technical and usage details when a page loads, including:
- The network IP address used for the request.
- The browser name and version.
- The device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring page or site, when supplied.
- The date and time of the request.
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies help measure use and remember limited site preferences. Browser controls can reject or remove them. Blocking cookies may cause some tools, ads, or page features to work differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports a small set of operational purposes:
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and stable.
- Sending search requests to the selected partner tool.
- Understanding which Cherokee County release pages help visitors.
- Finding errors, abuse, and technical failures.
- Displaying advertising that may reflect general interests.
Websites Reached Through Links
Links may lead to Cherokee Sheriff records, Georgia corrections and parole pages, federal locators, government portals, or third-party search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy notice and data practices apply.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across more than one site and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs under the partner’s controls, not as a record hosted by Cherokee County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be handled by:
- Search partners that process a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that measure site activity.
- Advertising networks that deliver and measure ads.
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Practices and Limits
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information under our control. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed secure or breach-proof, so absolute protection cannot be promised.
Users Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If a minor submitted information, a parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion.

- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Ask that personal information be erased.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing.
Georgia public records held by a sheriff, court, GDC, or another government office are not controlled by this site. Requests about those records must go to their custodian under the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 et seq., or other applicable law.
